Since 1977 UltraFlat has been grinding and polishing optics for the motion picture Industry. We specialize in close tolerance work in both repairs and the manufacture of Precision optics. We rework some of the finest optics including Zeiss, Cooke, Cannon, and Bausch and Lomb. We also repolish the glass in viewing systems, including the reworking of Arri Eyepieces. We can remove unsightly scratches, digs, etc. while maintaining the radius of the lens. We can also remove old coatings and replace them with the original coating or more modern ones. Our optical customers include Panavision, Panavision Hollywood, Otto Nemenz International, Clairmont Camera and Visual Products. Sometimes, optical elements are simply not worth reworking; we provide free examination and extimates to make sure the lens involved is worth reworking. If in doubt, send it to Ultraflat if you r are out of the Los Angeles Area. We'll be happy To examine your lens and give you a free estimate. We have no lens technicians on hand. Please remove all galss from it's housing prior to shipment to Ultraflat. Ultraflat has the capability to make optics. If there are any elements or optical items you wish made please send us a print. We'll be happy to give you a quote. UltraFlat has ground elements for many customers including Stereovision International and the University of Southern California. |
